Trinity is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

The Lutheran Church's founder was Martin Luther, a Catholic Priest in the 16th Century, who started out thinking God was very harsh. Through scripture and God's intervention, he realized that God is really full of love and grace toward all people. God's love and grace can be most clearly seen in God's Son, Jesus. You can have a relationship with God by simply believing that the wonderful gift of Jesus is for you.

God shows himself most clearly through God's Word, (the Bible), and through baptism (the way we become part of God's family), and by eating and drinking the bread and wine (the body and blood of Christ).

Every worship service starts with us being honest before God and each other by confessing that we are sinners and have failed God in many ways. Each day we live depending on God's amazing grace, love and forgiveness. With God's Spirit we can reach out to others with that same grace, love and forgiveness in our lives.

Polk County

Trinity started in 1946 with about 5 faithful families who wanted a Lutheran church in Polk County, Oregon

It has grown to a congregation of over 600. Every Sunday about 200 people worship at the Contemporary service and at the Ancient/Future worship service.

Services

Sunday School for all ages is at 9:00am. Childcare is available all morning, but we also love children in the worship service. They are all members of God's family and Trinity's family.

Our worship service begins at 10:00am.
