TLC Library Master File
Description
TLC Library Master is an Excel spreadsheet listing all books, DVDs, CDs, and Reference materials in our library. Books are organized by section; “Section Name” is shown in column A of the spreadsheet. Books are listed alphabetically by author and then by title within each section.
To determine if a book is in the TLC library, click on “Find & Select” in the upper right hand corner. Then select “Find.” Where it says “Find What,” type in the author’s name or title and select “Find Next.” The cursor will automatically move to the first entry in the spreadsheet by that author or title.

- “E” is for “Easy” books to read to little ones who are not reading yet.
- “Child “ books are for Children ages 5 – 7.
- “Junior” books are for ages 8 – 11. In the library, Junior books are organized alphabetically by author.
- “Teen” books are for ages 12 – 16 and are organized alphabetically by author on the shelves.
- “Fiction” is for adults or mature teens. Fiction books are organized alphabetically on the shelf by author’s last name.
- “NonFiction” includes writing that is factual or is about real events or people. Nonfiction books can be found in the library using the “NF#” in column B of the spreadsheet. This number is the Dewey Decimal System number; NonFiction books are organized in Dewey Decimal System order and Author.
- “Reference” refers to information that is factual and serves as source material.
